Impact
  • 0.14Source Normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP) 2022
Source Normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP) measures contextual citation impact by weighting citations based on the total number of citations in a subject field. The impact of a single citation is given higher value in subject areas where citations are less likely, and vice versa.
  • Q4Quartile: Geriatrics and Gerontology 2023
The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SCOPE

Advances in Gerontology  is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes reviews, original articles, short communications, and opinion articles covering a wide range of areas of gerontological research aimed at understanding the mechanisms of aging and finding ways to combat it. Priority is given to publications devoted to the fundamental mechanisms that may determine the increase in the probability of death of living organisms, including humans, with age. Articles aimed at identifying various factors of both chemical and physical nature that could potentially help slow down the aging process are also welcome. It is assumed that the authors of articles submitted to the journal strictly comply with the requirements for correct experimental gerontological research, both in methodological terms and in terms of biomedical research ethics. Purely descriptive works that do not analyze the mechanisms underlying the observed patterns are not published. No publication fee is charged to authors who are not interested in open access to their articles.
