Pleiades Statement on Sanctions Compliance

Pleiades Publishing Inc. (“Pleiades”) complies with applicable sanctions laws in the United States and other relevant jurisdictions. These sanctions laws restrict companies from engaging in transactions with certain individuals and entities and in certain countries and territories. Pleiades is committed to fully complying with applicable sanctions laws while serving its core mission of disseminating knowledge and advancing scientific research and understanding worldwide.

Pleiades has implemented comprehensive procedures to comply with applicable sanctions laws, including:

• Prohibitions on transactions related to comprehensively sanctioned countries and territories;
• Prohibitions on transactions with parties blocked under U.S. sanctions, including parties listed on the U.S. Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List and other applicable lists; and
• Prohibitions on sharing export-controlled information.

Pleiades also monitors developments in applicable sanctions laws on an ongoing basis to ensure that the company adapts to new requirements as they arise. Among other things, in response to changes in U.S. and other applicable sanctions in 2022, Pleiades suspended the implementation of all agreements with Russian state-owned institutions.
