Abstract—Representatives of the little-known genus Hemiprosopa Braun, established for a single species from
North America, were found for the first time in the Palearctic. A new subspecies of the type species, H. albella
asiatica ssp.n. from Transbaikalia, and a new species, H. altaica sp.n. from the Altai Mountains are described.
