Phytoplankton and Its Role in the Formation of the Underwater Light Regime in Artificial Reservoirs

Abstract—This article considers the underwater light regime of the Volga River artificial reservoirs and quantitatively assesses the role of phytoplankton in its formation. An optical classification of the Volga waters is proposed.
