Abstract—The results of experimental studies of the terminal velocity of peat dust in an air flow with different size distributions of dust particles are presented, and the particle sizes and shapes were examined by microscopic methods. The aerodynamic drag of peat particles of various sizes in an air flow was studied, and a criterion relationship between the drag coefficient CD and the Reynolds number (Re) was determined. The experimental results on the terminal velocity of peat dust were compared with data calculated using well-known methods, and recommendations for their application in the design of pneumatic fuel supply systems were given.
