Abstract—The production of synthetic hydrocarbons from sunflower husk biomass including the stages of gasification and the Fischer–Tropsch (FT) synthesis of hydrocarbons was studied. It was found that H2/CO = 2 was an optimal ratio for the production of motor-fuel hydrocarbon fractions, and steam–oxygen gasification provided a minimum concentration of ballast components in the synthesis gas. The synthesized hydrocarbons mainly consisted of gasoline and diesel fractions and contained to ~60% isomeric structures.
