Abstract—A correlation has been found between the annual plant production and the energy equivalents of
heat and water supply. The combined effect of natural and anthropogenic factors on the plant productivity of
steppe ecosystems in the Holocene has been evaluated. These results ensure the phytocenotic unit in the math
ematical model of the zonal soil-forming process.
