AbstractThe results are discussed on the development of a semiempirical dynamicstochastic model of
slope runoff during spring snow melting. The model is based on long-term water-balance monitoring on the
plots of the Kursk Biospheric Station of the Institute of Geography, Russian Academy of Sciences. It is shown
that this model describes rather adequately the formation of snowmelt slope runoff in small drainage areas of
the central forest-steppe zone.
