Abstract—The AquaSalt model for convection–dispersion transport of contaminants through soil is verified in
laboratory and field conditions. This model combines the equation for the one-dimensional transport of water
and chemicals within the soil profile and the equation for the degradation of chemical and their interaction with
the soil solid phase. The model is adequate for pesticide transport in the field when the distribution coefficient
is increased 10 to 100 times in comparison with laboratory experimental data.
