Abstract—Comparative analysis of the main agrochemical characteristics of the root-inhabited layer in light
chestnut soil and of the productivity of cultivated crops with respect to the elements of relief of a catchment
area is given. It is pointed out that differentiated agricultural technology with an appropriate assortment of crops
with respect to different soil fertility on slopes must be developed and applied.
