Dependence of Productivity of Perennial Grasses
on Soil Moisture Potential

Abstract—Pressure of soil moisture critical for perennial grasses in dry steppe has been determined. A sharp
decrease in the productivity of plants occurs at this pressure, and irrigation should be started. The period
between irrigations during which conditions for good plant growth are maintained has been determined.
