Abstract—The result of complex interactions between autotrophic ammonium-oxidizing bacteria and het-
erotrophic microorganisms can be expressed in terms of ammonium oxidation intensity. This microbiological
feature serves as a relative characteristic of the net mineralization of nitrogen in soil matter. Net mineralized
frame0 yields a adequate amount of Nframe1 only under weakly pronounced nitrate reduction.
