Evaluation of Surface Energy of W and AlNi
by the Results of Their Milling

Abstract—A method is proposed which is an alternative to existing methods of determining of the surface ten-
sion of solids and is based on a generalization of the Rittinger law and the Gibbs thermodynamic equations, as
well as on a diffraction analysis of the granulometric characteristics of finely dispersed powders of templates
(Fe, Co) and originals (W, AlNi). The surface tension coefficients of tungsten and AlNi are evaluated. The con-
fidence intervals of varying their values are found.
