Abstract—Methods of preparation and results of investigation into high-porous spongy silver and the morphol-
ogy of its formation are presented. It is shown that this product is a nanostructure consisting of silver particles
100–200 nm in size, which accreted with each other into branched conglomerates. Examples of using nano-
structured highly porous spongy silver are presented.

Keywords: precipitation, morphology, lead sponge, high-porous metallic silver sponge, developed nanostructure
