Abstract—New approaches to optimizing a magnetorheological transformer are considered. The influence of a rotating magnetic field on the sedimentation of ferromagnetic particles in a magnetorheological fluid is investigated. It proves expedient to use an additional choke channel between the coaxial cylinders in transformer design.
