Heterogeneous Sorbent Based on Polyaniline

Abstract—A highly efficient heterogeneous complexing sorbent was prepared by the interfacial polymeriza-
tion of aniline on the surface of disperse Al₂O₃ and SiO₂ . It was shown that the sorption capacity of this sorbent
is significantly affected by the content of polyaniline in it and may achieve abnormally high values. The pro-
duced sorbent exhibits excellent kinetic parameters in the sorption of Cu²⁺ ions and is able to undergo repeated
reversible sorption–desorption processes.
