Abstract—The phase transitions in a poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG)–glycerol–water system were studied under
static conditions and on exposure to a shear field. It was discovered that deformation results in an increase in
the temperature of the phase separation of the PEG solutions. The concentration dependences of the interaction
parameter of components and the second virial coefficients of the polymer–mixed solvent systems distorted by
the mechanical field were calculated in terms of the Flory–Huggins theory.
