AbstractThe blends of two linear immiscible polymers (PU and PMMA) formed simultaneously in the
course of polymerization at various ratios of the starting components and the initiator concentrations were stud-
ied by DSC and light scattering. The composition and weight fractions of precipitated phases were calculated.
It was demonstrated that there is a correlation between the composition of precipitated phases and the initial
parameters of phase separation. This gave the authors reason to infer that the earlier stages of polymerization
and phase separation are responsible for the final structure of the material obtained.
