Abstract—Results of studies of the heat capacities of poly(vinyl chloride)–based composites that contain cop-
per nanoparticles as a filler and are prepared via electrical explosion of wire are described. In the temperature
range T = 303–468 K at copper concentrations of = 0–0.10 vol %, the temperature and concentration depen-
dences of the heat capacities of the composites undergo nonlinear variations. The form of the spectral distribu-
tion function of the vibration frequencies of the structural elements of the system is estimated via a harmonic
approximation. Their role in the formation of the characteristic properties of the material is discussed.
