Abstract—Switching processes in soft ferroelectric ceramic materials based on lead zirconate–titanate have
been studied. It has been found that these materials, which possess properties of relaxors and have an additional
low-frequency phase transition between two rhombohedral phases, R3c frame1 R3m, exhibit specific features
upon the repolarization near this transition: in addition to the decrease in the coercive field, the domain com-
pression effect disappears, which indicates changes in the switching mechanism.
