Magnetic Properties of Lanthanum Manganite Alloyed
with Li, Na, K, Tl, and Hg

Abstract—The structure and dynamic and static magnetic properties of lanthanum manganite alloyed with
alkaline metals, thallium, and mercury were investigated. Additions of sodium, potassium, and thallium were
shown to yield a uniform ferromagnetic state and metallic conduction. Additions of lithium and mercury
decrease the Curie temperature and magnetization as compared to those of LaMnO_3.10.
