AbstractBased on the static and single-site approximations of local spin fluctuation theory, a simple method
for the calculation of the density of states and the related magnetic properties of ferromagnetic metals at finite
temperatures is developed. With this method, the temperature dependence of the density of states and magne-
tization of ferromagnetic iron was calculated. The calculated magnetization is in reasonable agreement with the
experimental data. The Curie temperature is close to the experimentally observed one,
= 1.5TC.
