AbstractThe dynamic behavior of domain walls with a two-dimensional magnetization distribution is stud-
ied as a function of surface anisotropy of easy-plane type (characterized by the constant Ks) in films with in-
plane bulk magnetic anisotropy. The case of a relatively small Ks < K0,s is investigated. It is shown that K0,s is
the value at which the critical field Hc separating the regions of steady and unsteady domain wall motion is min-
imal. A decrease in Hc with an increase in Ks
[0, K0,s] is predicted. The period T of dynamic rearrangement
in the internal structure of the domain wall is found to vary strongly with Ks in the interval [0, K0,s], because Hc
depends on Ks, and T changes fast as the external magnetic field varies in the neighborhood of Hc.
