Abstract—The requirements of ecological design for materials for various environmental objects are considered. The types of glasses and glass-ceramic materials for the design of environmental objects are presented. A wide range of surface-treatment methods for glasses and glass materials is shown, which determine their high decorative expressiveness along with operational properties. A classification of glass products is given according to the methods of forming and surface treatment, which determine the artistic, operational-technical, and physicochemical properties of glasses and glass materials. Particular attention is paid to stained-glass windows and the technology of their manufacture.
