Abstract—The bulk characteristics and electrode properties are experimentally studied for a number of sodium
aluminosilicate glasses with fluoride additives. It is shown that the characteristic temperatures regularly
decrease and the resistivity exhibits a nonlinear behavior with an increase in the fluorine content in glasses. The
fluoride additives are found to produce a positive effect on the electrode properties of glasses with a low content
of the second glass-former. These glasses possess a pronounced selectivity for potassium ions. It is assumed
that the strongly acidic groups [AlO3/2F]Na+ favoring an increase in the electric conductivity and manifestation
of metallic function are formed in the glass structure.
