Abstract—The paper discusses the relationship between the thermodynamic potentials and other physical
properties of oxide glasses and melts in terms of the model of associated solutions. Within a unified context,
the model of associated solutions is demonstrated to adequately predict a wide range of glass properties by a
number of examples concerning the simulation of a complete set of thermodynamic potentials, densities, refrac-
tive indices, electric conductivities, etc.
