Abstract—The features of the synthesis of opaque quartz glass, the raw material for melting of which is quartz sand produced by the Ramensky ore mining and processing plant, are considered. For the first time in the world, the dependences of the change in the linear dimensions of quartz glass samples in various heating-cooling modes are obtained on the DIL-402 high temperature dilatometer produced by Netzsch (Germany). The process of servicing refractory quartz ceramics made of opaque quartz glass melted on plasmatrons of OAO Dinur is modeled.
