Abstract—The effect of water soluble polymer additives on the phase composition and particle sizes of zirconia
stabilized with yttria during precipitation from water–alcohol salt solutions has been studied by the methods of X-
ray structural analysis, Raman spectroscopy, thermal nitrogen desorption, and sedimentation analysis using an
ultracentrifuge DC-24 000. It has been demonstrated that agar–agar and PVA additives are most effective.
