Abstract—The fact that the efficiencies of the purification of AV-17-2P anion exchanger of fulvic acids with
NaOH and KOH solutions containing 10% NaCl differ was explained by structural peculiarities of these solu-
tions, namely, by the different number of vacant cavities. The proportion between the number of ions embedded
into the framework and captured in the cavities formed by the network of hydrogen bonds of the water were
calculated. It was established that, in KOH solutions, the number of vacant cavities is much larger than that in
NaOH solutions.
