Estimation of Structure-Related Indices for the Critical State
on the Basis of the Integral Equations of the Theory of Liquids

Abstract—The critical point and its neighborhood can be characterized by the formation of a short-order struc-
ture described by structure-related critical indices. The structure-related critical indices for a system of Len-
nard-Jones particles were estimated using the Ornstein–Zernike equation. The thermodynamic functions in the
immediate vicinity of the critical point were calculated and compared with those predicted by numerical exper-
iments.
