Abstract—Gas-chromatographic equilibrium constants obtained for 35 heterocyclic compounds adsorbed on
graphitized thermal carbon black are analyzed. The molecular model of an ideal two-dimensional gas is shown
to be a good approximation in almost all instances. Deviations from this model estimated with the use of frame0
values (standard entropies of adsorption), as a rule, do not exceed 6–8%. Large deviations arise for molecular
geometry reasons.
