AbstractThe modification of NTsVK(69) zeolite by magnesium oxide caused a substantial change in the
shape of the experimental ammonia temperature-programmed desorption curve and an increase in the mean
strength of acid sites. The acidity spectrum was broadened and shifted to the higher energies. The distribution
function of acid sites according to activation energies of ammonia desorption was determined. The modification
resulted in a decrease in overall acidity, almost completely suppressed weak sites, increased the number and the
fraction of medium-strength sites, decreased the number and fraction of strong sites, and caused the appearance
of a noticeable amount of sites that were stronger than those of the initial pentasil.
