Abstract—The rate constants for the reactions between methyl, butyl, and isobutyl acetates and OH^– ions in
acetonitrile–water mixtures of various compositions were determined. The solvation of ester molecules was
shown to make the major contribution to the concentration dependence of the kinetic characteristics.
