Abstract—The solubility of the macroheteroring with indanedione-1,3 and benzene fragments in normal
monohydric alcohols C1–C4 was measured under isothermal conditions. The temperature dependence of the
solubility was used to calculate the thermodynamic parameters of dissolution of the macroheteroring. The sol-
ubility increased from methanol to butanol, which was accompanied by a decrease in the H and S values.
Thethermodynamic compensation effect was observed.
