Abstract—Equations describing a three-stage diffusion of metal ions in thin polycrystalline films without
regard for crystal lattice restructuring are suggested. They are based on experimental data on the kinetics of
metal ion sorption from aqueous solutions at 0–100°C with thin films of lead, zinc, copper, iron, and manganese
sulfides and oxides prepared by X-ray fluorescence and atomic absorption.
