Abstract—The primary gas chromatographic data for an n-pentane–graphitized carbon black system obtained
in the temperature range 343.0–413.6 K were processed to estimate the heat capacity of the adsorbate, the tem-
perature dependence of the differential adsorption heat, and the thermal component of the differential entropy
frame0 for the adsorbate. It has been established that, in the temperature range studied, frame1 is approximately equal
to the entropy frame2 of the liquid adsorptive.
