Abstract—Atomic ordering in an A3BCx alloy with the Al5 structure is studied using the configuration theory
assumptions and the method of mean energies. The special features of the process and admixture effects are
examined. The equilibrium solubility of carbon admixtures in A3B alloys is calculated, and its dependences on
the concentrations of components A and B, temperature, the degree of long-range ordering, and energy con-
stants are determined.
