Abstract—The energy of combustion of crystalline dibenzo-p-dioxine (frame0Uframe1 = –5714.2 4.1 kJ/mol) was
determined for the first time in a static-bomb water calorimeter. The enthalpy of sublimation (sHframe2 = 89.55
0.72 kJ/mol) was measured in a Calvert microcalorimeter. The data obtained were used to calculate the standard
enthalpy of formation of dibenzo-p-dioxine in the crystalline and gaseous states (–148.7 4.4 and –59.2 4.4 kJ/mol,
respectively).
