Diffusion of a Passive Additive from a Line Source
in the Neutral Atmospheric Surface Layer

AbstractThe diffusion of a passive additive from a continuous finite-size line source located on the underly-
ing surface of the neutral atmospheric surface layer is modeled using a nonlocal two-parametric model of tur-
bulence and transport equations for the average concentration. In the diffusion model proposed, the coefficient
of turbulent diffusion varies not only in the vertical but also downstream of the source in accordance with lab-
oratory experimental data [2, 3]. The results of modeling adequately reproduce the measured data on the struc-
tural features of concentration field transformation.
