On the Possibility of Active Restoration
of the Earth’s Ozone Layer

Abstract—Estimates of the energy needed for artificial restoration of the ozone layer are made, and various
methods proposed for artificial restoration of ozone are analyzed. A low efficiency of the method of strato
spheric ozone restoration by a transfer of atmospheric molecular oxygen to the excited state by laser radiation
with = 1.27 m is demonstrated.
