AbstractThe effect of quasi-oscillations in the wind-wave spectrum on its low-frequency evolution is
assessed by numerically solving the kinetic equation that takes into account weakly nonlinear interactions in
the spectrum. It is shown that quasi-oscillations are responsible for a significant enhancement of the effect of
weakly nonlinear wave development. A parametrization that makes it possible to consider this effect in spectral
models of wind waves is proposed.
