Abstract—Characteristics of atmospheric wave processes simultaneously recorded with a pressure probe and
a muon hodoscope during thunderstorm activity occurring on May 6 and May 15, 1997 are given. In prestorm
periods, the frequency resolution of peaks in power spectra obtained with the muon hodoscope was found to be
about 2–3%, which is three times better than in spectra obtained with the pressure probe, and the recording con-
fidence was found to exceed 99.99%.
