Method of Moments in Calculations of the Autofluorescence
of Biological Tissues

Abstract—A mathematical model of calculation of the propagation of laser radiation in nonhomogeneous,
scattering, and fluorescing biological tissues and media is proposed. The model is based on the solution of the
transfer equation by the method of moments. The results of simulation of the behavior of fluorescence aimed
at the development of the theoretical background of the laser fluorescent diagnostics in medicine are presented.
