Abstract—Specific features of light refraction on the surface of plates of uniaxial crystals are considered.
Amethod of calculating birefringence in the protection crystalline windows under oblique incidence is devel-
oped. The possibility of refracting on the surface of the plate for oblique incidence of the ray without further
splitting into ordinary and extraordinary rays is shown.
