Abstract—The methodology and the first results of the computations of the volumes, masses, and growth rates
of the sedimentary body of the buried Black Sea basin are presented. Their temporal evolution reflects the
regional paleogeodynamics, in particular, the reorientation of the vector of the relative movement of the Arabian
and Eurasian lithospheric plates and the related intensification of their collision in the late Miocene–Pliocene.
