Abstract—Common approaches were used to calculate the anthropogenic CO₂, equations were proposed to
characterize anthropogenic variations in pH values (pH_ant) in the Pacific Subarctic. For the treated area, the
temporal and spatial pH_antvariability was analyzed in 1986 and 2001–2004. From the pH_ant values, the influ-
ence of pH variations on iron solubility in seawater was considered.
