in the North Caspian Bottom Biocenoses

Abstract—Data on quantitative changes of the north Caspian benthos from 1935 through 1985 are reinter-
preted on a unified methodological basis. Some data for the previous (1895–1932) and succeeding (1986–1995)
years are given. Causes of the changes in the north Caspian biocenoses are discussed.
