and the Secchi Depth

Abstract—A semi-empirical model of the relation between the diffuse attenuation coefficient and the Sec-
chi depth Z_w is suggested. According to the model, the parameter =Z_w is not a constant value; it increases
when Z_w increases. From experimental observation data, the relationship =f(Z_w) has been established, which
confirms the model calculations.
