Actively Q-switched Performance
of a Mixed Crystal Nd:Lu_0.5Y_0.5VO₄ at 1.34 m¹

Abstract—The actively Q-switched laser performance of the mixed Nd:Lu_0.5Y_0.5VO₄ crystal was demon-
strated for the first time. At the pump power of 7.26 W, the minimum pulse width of 46.6 ns was obtained at the
pulse repetition rate of 5 kHz with the cavity length of 80 mm, and the single pulse energy and peak power were
calculated to be 42 J and 901.3 W, respectively.
