Abstract—Cracking of n-hexane on zeolite-containing catalysts was studied under the conditions providing
the absence of interfacial cation exchange (cationic forms of zeolites and matrices were identical). For the cat-
alyst samples with grain sizes of 4–5 and 0.5–1.0 mm, the catalytic activity and the selectivity were found to
be identical. The minimum diameter of catalyst grains such that diffusion limitations can occur was calculated.
For the highly active catalysts, this grain size was found greater than 5 mm.
